First New Anticoagulant In Over 50 Years Licenced For Stroke Prevention In Atrial Fibrillation

4th August 2011 Boehringer Ingelheim announce that Pradaxa (Dabigatran Etexilate) has received its licence for use in stroke prevention in Atrial Fibrillation. The National Institute for Clinical Excellence is expected to issue guidance later this year.
