ANTicoagulation Europe conference 2008

ACE is pleased to announce that we will be holding our annual conference at Birmingham University on the 17th and 18th April 2008.

Once again ACE has joined forces with the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society Anticoagulation Working Group, and the AntiCoagulation Specialists Association. We are also very pleased to say that Clinical Leaders of Thrombosis (CLOT) will be joining forces with us.

Some of the subjects that we hope will be covered are:

• Patient self-testing and self-management
• Prosthetic valves
• Venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism)
• Service redesign - from secondary to primary care
• Screening for atrial fibrillation
• Thrombophilia
• The National Patient Safety Agency - one year on

This is going to be an interactive conference, not just listening but joining in and giving your opinions, with plenty of time to have questions answered.

We also hope to have an International speaker, lunchtime workshops and much more. As usual our sponsors will be available on their stands to answer your questions and demonstrate their products.
