It's about time patient survey |
|
The it's about time pan-European survey(1) involved 711
patients who are receiving long-term anticoagulation therapy for atrial
fibrillation (AF), a major risk factor for thrombosis that is associated with a
five-fold increased risk of stroke, compared to those with a normal
heartbeat(2). The results of this new survey provide a unique insight into the
day-to-day challenges that patients face with anticoagulation treatment with
vitamin K antagonists (VKAs), such as warfarin.
